Built to make household risk visible before it becomes a problem
Franquiana exists because financial risk in a household rarely arrives as a single event — it accumulates quietly across years. We built a company around watching for it continuously.
Why we started Franquiana
Franquiana was founded on a simple observation: most financial planning tools treat risk as something to be checked once a year, during an annual review or renewal cycle. Between those checkpoints, circumstances change — income, obligations, markets — and nobody is watching.
We set out to build an approach that replaces the periodic snapshot with ongoing analysis, so that shifts in a household's risk profile are visible as they happen rather than discovered later.
Illustrative pattern: risk indicators fluctuate between review cycles, often unnoticed under periodic models.
Continuous visibility, not periodic guesswork
Our mission is to give households and the advisors who serve them a clearer, more current view of financial risk — one that updates as life changes rather than waiting for the next scheduled review.
We focus specifically on long-term planning horizons, where small, early signals matter most and are easiest to miss under traditional review cycles.
What guides how we work
Data over intuition
- Decisions are grounded in ongoing analysis, not one-time estimates
- Assumptions are revisited as new information arrives
- We avoid relying on static, outdated inputs
Clarity over complexity
- Risk information should be understandable, not just technically accurate
- We prioritize plain explanations over jargon
- Reporting is designed to support real decisions
Consistency over urgency
- We favor steady, methodical monitoring over reactive alarm
- Long-term planning requires patience as much as precision
- We aim to inform, not to pressure
How the team is organized around this work
A core group is responsible for maintaining and refining the data analysis that underpins our risk assessments. Their work is ongoing rather than tied to a fixed reporting schedule, reflecting the continuous nature of the risks we monitor.
A separate group works directly with households and partner advisors to translate analysis into practical guidance, making sure findings are communicated clearly and tied to concrete planning decisions.
An operations group supports the day-to-day running of Franquiana, from maintaining data integrity to coordinating how information flows between our monitoring systems and the people who rely on them.
